General anesthesia is necessary for thigh lift surgery.
A thigh lift surgery takes 2-3 hours depending on the severity of the problem.
Hospitalization is 1 day after having thigh lift.
There will be swelling and bruising on the surgical area. Mild or moderate pain is concomitant in the first few days.
The stitches will be hidden and dissolvable; therefore, there is no need for stitch removal.
Downtime is 5-7 days after having thigh lift.
A thigh lift costs in Dubai range between 20,000 and 50,000 AED. Keep in mind that these figures don’t represent Dr. Baycin’s specific pricing; you’ll receive the exact amount during your consultation after he evaluates your condition. The final price may increase based on the severity of the issue and any additional time you might need to stay in the hospital.
As we age and our weight fluctuates, many women experience loosening and sagging, particularly in the inner thighs. This can be especially noticeable when wearing a skirt, as the inner thighs tend to rub together while walking, leading to discomfort like sweating and rashes.
The loosening on the inner thigh, which can be aesthetically unpleasing, can actually be addressed. In fact, it’s often the best and only solution for women facing these issues.
For those who have fat deposits on the inner thighs without significant loosening or sagging, liposuction can be a great option since it doesn’t leave a surgical scar. If the skin still has its elasticity, liposuction can effectively remove the fat.
However, if the skin has lost its elasticity due to aging, liposuction alone may not be the best choice. In these cases, a combination of fat removal and skin tightening is usually more beneficial.
Additionally, a thigh lift can be part of a comprehensive body lift after significant weight loss. Post-bariatric patients who struggle with inner thigh loosening often find this procedure particularly helpful.

The inner thigh is one of those areas that really shows the signs of aging and weight loss. The extent of skin sagging can differ quite a bit from person to person. That’s why there are two different designs to consider:
In a horizontal thigh lift surgery, I start by removing the excess skin located just below the groin fold. After that, I lift the lower edge and stitch it to the upper edge at the groin fold. This way, the surgical scar is positioned along the groin fold, allowing me to design it so that it remains hidden under a bikini. For some carefully chosen patients, combining this procedure with liposuction can be quite beneficial.
When the loose skin starts to sag towards the knee on the inner thigh, it’s important to not only focus on horizontal lifting but also to incorporate some vertical tightening. In cases where the skin is severely loose, a two-dimensional lifting approach tends to yield much better results.
The posterior thigh lift is designed to address the issue of loose skin on the back of the thighs.
I start by making an incision along the fold that separates the buttocks from the thighs. Next, I carefully separate the skin and fat layer from the underlying muscles. This allows the skin to be lifted more freely. I then pull the skin upward as much as possible and remove any excess skin and fat. Before I close the incision, I attach the lower edge to the buttock muscle to ensure the results last. Finally, I finish up by stitching the skin closed with hidden, absorbable stitches.
The surgery will be done under general anesthesia at a fully equipped hospital and typically takes about 2 to 3 hours. You can expect to head home the following day.
While you might experience some discomfort, it shouldn’t be too intense, and painkillers will help keep it in check. You’ll be able to start moving around just a few hours after the procedure.
Feel free to take a shower 2 to 3 days after your thigh lift. Keep in mind that recovery times can vary from person to person, but most people will be feeling better within 7 to 10 days.
Many of my patients often wonder when they can get back to their daily routines. Honestly, there’s no need to ask! Just pay attention to what your body is telling you. It will let you know when it’s ready to “go for it” or when you should “take it easy.”
You can resume heavy lifting and sports about four weeks after your surgery. In fact, you should be feeling well enough to travel just 3 to 4 days post-thigh lift.
You might notice some swelling and bruising on the inner thigh, these will typically fade away within 7 to 10 days.
I always use absorbable and hidden stitches, so you won’t have to stress about getting them removed later on.

When it comes to thigh lift surgeries, the complication rates are drawn from a variety of medical literature. These rates can fluctuate based on individual factors like a patient’s health conditions and BMI. However, just because these complications exist doesn’t mean you’ll experience all of them.
Factors such as smoking, diabetes, and obesity can increase the risk of issues like wound dehiscence, skin necrosis, and infections. Poor blood flow to the skin can make these complications more likely. That’s why I always advise my patients to quit smoking at least 1-2 weeks before their surgery. Taking antibiotics can also help reduce the risk of infection.
Seromas, which are fluid collections that can form inside the wound, typically resolve within a couple of weeks after the procedure.
After tightening the skin, increased tension can sometimes lead to unsightly scarring or scar migration, which might require further revision. While the surgery does leave a scar initially, it usually fades over time, and most patients are quite pleased with the results.
If you do encounter any complications that cause discomfort or extend your recovery, rest assured that these can be managed and treated effectively.
IMPORTANT ! Before getting the appointment, check your medical conditions yourself.
