TRANSPLANT SERVICE IS NOT ACTIVE TEMPORARILY. HOWEVER YOU MAY GET HELPFUL INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROCEDURE IN THIS PAGE.
Both eyelashes and eyebrows are essential components of facial beauty. They significantly influence our appearance, even though they don’t have a ton of hair.
Full, thick, and long eyebrows and eyelashes can enhance a woman’s attractiveness, while thin, sparse hair can detract from her facial aesthetics.
Factors like vitamin and mineral deficiencies, genetics, permanent makeup, and injuries such as burns or tissue loss can lead to sparse hair in these areas.
In such situations, hair transplantation for both eyelashes and eyebrows can help restore your beauty.
It’s important to note that eyebrows and eyelashes have distinct hair characteristics, including thickness, length, and curvature. Unfortunately, there’s no other hair on the body that matches these traits. Because of this, transplanted hair may not look or behave like your original brows or lashes.
Keep in mind that transplanted hair won’t be as perfect as your natural ones. So, I suggest you manage your expectations and think carefully before deciding on an eyelash transplant.
When it comes to transplanted hair, it’s important to understand that it won’t quite match your existing eyelashes. Eyelashes have a consistent length and curve, while hair from areas like the underarm or pubic region is closer in thickness to the lower eyelid lashes. On the other hand, scalp hair is more similar to the upper eyelid lashes.
However, the curve of body hair isn’t uniform in those areas, which means it won’t perfectly align with your lashes. Since there’s no exact match for hair on the body, we often have to use hair from those regions.
I categorize patients into two groups based on their need for the procedure:
That’s why I encourage you to reflect on your expectations before our consultation. If your expectations align with reality, I’ll be able to assist you effectively.
Getting an eyebrow transplant is quite similar to a scalp hair transplant, but there are some technical differences. The hair taken from the back of your head is usually a good match for your brows in terms of thickness and color.
One thing to keep in mind is that the transplanted hairs will keep growing, so you’ll need to trim them every now and then. The key to a successful eyebrow transplant lies in making sure the hairs are aligned properly and follow the natural direction of your existing hair, with those sharp angles that give a realistic look.
To achieve the most natural results after an eyebrow transplant, there are several important factors to consider:
The eyebrow transplant procedure is done under local anesthesia and involves three main stages.
The first step is collecting the hair follicles. I start by injecting a local anesthetic to ensure the area is completely numb. Using the FUE technique, I carefully harvest each follicle from the donor site. The number of follicles needed can vary, typically ranging from 50 to 400, depending on the recipient area. This collection process usually takes about 30 to 60 minutes.
Next comes the second stage, where I create tiny incisions in the recipient area to prepare for placing the follicles. The pattern of these incisions is crucial, as it affects the overall direction and appearance of the eyebrows. It requires a skilled hand to ensure the alignment, angulation, and density are just right, which can significantly impact the final result. This part of the procedure also takes around 30 to 60 minutes.
Finally, in the third stage, I place the harvested follicles into the incisions. It’s essential to rotate the follicles so that the natural curve of the hair aligns parallel to the existing hairs. This meticulous task is quite time-consuming and can take anywhere from 1 to 2 hours to complete.
Get information about FUE techniqueYou can head out of the clinic right after your procedure is done. I’ll be giving you a prescription for an antibiotic and some pain relief medication.
Make sure to take the antibiotics consistently for a week. This is just a precaution to help prevent any potential infections, so it’s really important to stick to the schedule.
In the first couple of days, you might experience a bit of a burning sensation. If you start feeling pain, don’t hesitate to take the painkillers; they’ll help ease your discomfort.
You can expect some swelling and bruising around your eyes, which will likely peak in the first two days. But don’t worry, both the swelling and bruising will start to go down pretty quickly after that. You should be able to get back to work the following week.
It’s normal for all the transplanted hair to fall out within 2-3 weeks after the procedure, but the roots will still be safe and sound. New hair will begin to grow from those roots in about 2-3 months.
As the new hair develops, you’ll really start to see the results after about 5-6 months.
I’ll check in with you in two days for a follow-up. During that visit, we’ll give your face a good wash, and then you’ll be taking care of it yourself in the days that follow.
It’s important to steer clear of the sun for the next two months, so I highly recommend using sun protection creams during this time. Other than that, you won’t need to worry about any special care.
The costs for eyebrow restoration and eyelash transplants in Dubai can really differ from one clinic to another, and they largely depend on how many hairs you need for the transplant. In my practice, the price for eyebrow and eyelash transplants is around 12,000 AED (which is about $3,300).
