Gynecomastia surgery in Dubai costs between AED 15,000 and AED 40,000 across the emirate. My own fee depends on what is causing the enlargement: AED 20,000 where liposuction alone is enough, AED 30,000 to AED 35,000 where the gland must also be removed, and AED 35,000 to AED 40,000 where excess skin must be tightened as well.
This page sets out what those fees reflect and what they include. What they reflect is a simple principle: the operation is decided by the cause, not by a price list. Enlargement from fat needs one thing, firm glandular tissue needs another, and loose skin needs a third — and the fee follows the operation your chest actually requires. What the fee includes is everything: the surgery, the hospital, the anesthesia, and the care around them, with nothing to pay afterward. A price quoted before an examination is a price for an operation, not for a patient, and so the exact figure follows a consultation rather than preceding it.

The cause decides the operation, and the operation decides the fee
Gynecomastia is not one condition, and its surgery is not one operation. What has enlarged the chest determines what has to be done, and that is what separates the three fees.

Which of these applies to you cannot be judged from a photograph. It is apparent on examination, when the chest can be felt as well as seen — because the firm, glandular kind and the soft, fatty kind feel quite different, and they need different operations.
Why the exact figure comes after a consultation
A single number at the top of a page would be a fiction here, because until the chest is examined it is not known which of the three operations you need. Many men assume they have glandular tissue when the problem is fat, or the reverse. The distinction changes the operation, the scar, and the fee.
A price given before an examination has priced the procedure, not the patient. You are given the three bands here, and an exact figure in writing once you have been examined.
What the fee reflects: the operation itself
Most of what you are paying for is the right operation, done so the chest looks male rather than merely flattened. Here is what mine involves.
- The technique matched to the tissue. I choose the approach from what the chest is made of — the type of tissue, the size, and the state of the skin. Fatty enlargement with good skin needs only liposuction; firm glandular tissue must be physically removed; loose skin must be tightened. Using the smaller operation where it will serve, and the larger only where it is needed, is the judgment the fee reflects.
- VASER, which can spare a scar. I use VASER, which breaks down both fat and — in many cases — glandular tissue with sound waves, so it can be removed without a skin incision. Where that is enough, there is no surgical scar at all. This is the ideal outcome, and it is possible more often than men expect — and where it serves, it keeps you in the smaller operation, at the smaller fee.
- Gland excision hidden at the areola. Where the gland is too firm to be removed this way, it is excised through a fine incision at the border of the areola, where the scar is concealed, with nipple stability and sensation preserved.
- A male chest, not just a smaller one. The male chest is defined by firm transitions and structural lines, and the fold beneath the breast should blend into the abdomen rather than stand out. Contouring for that masculine shape — not simply removing volume — is what separates a good result from a flat but unnatural one. It happens within the fee of whichever operation you need; it is not an add-on.

Will it leave a scar?
This is the first question most men ask, and the honest answer depends on which operation you need.
Where liposuction alone is enough — or where VASER removes both fat and gland without a skin incision — there is little or no scar. Where the firm gland must be excised, there is a small scar hidden at the border of the areola. Where loose skin must be removed as well, there is a little more, though it is kept minimal. I would rather tell you honestly which of these applies to you than imply that every gynecomastia operation is scarless — because it depends entirely on the cause.

What moves the figure between the ranges
The operation you need is the main thing, and within each band two more factors decide where you sit.
- Fat, gland, or skin. The largest factor — whether the problem is fat alone, fat with gland, or fat and gland with excess skin. This is a clinical finding, not a choice.
- The amount of tissue. A larger reduction takes longer, and operating time is the largest single cost within any surgical fee.
Neither can be judged from a photograph. Both are apparent within minutes of an examination.
Insurance in the UAE
I do not work with insurance companies, so payment to me is direct.
Gynecomastia surgery is usually treated as cosmetic and, as such, is not covered by health insurance in the UAE. There is a genuine exception: where the condition causes documented pain or a diagnosed underlying problem, part of the surgery may in principle be considered medically necessary, and some policies may respond to that. But because I do not work with insurers, you would pay me directly and pursue any reimbursement with your insurer yourself.

Revision, and what my quotation does not promise
The figure I quote is the figure you pay for the operation we agreed. There is no hidden cost within it.
Gynecomastia rarely returns once the gland is removed, provided your weight stays stable and there is no ongoing hormonal cause — which is one reason I take care to identify the cause first. If a second procedure is ever needed, that is a separate operation, priced as one. I would rather state that now than have you feel misled later.
How to get your figure
You are examined so that the cause can be identified — whether the enlargement is fat, gland, or both, and whether the skin will tighten on its own once the volume is reduced. That is what decides between the three operations, and therefore the figure.
