Dr. Nazmi Baycin, DHA-licensed board-certified plastic surgeon in Dubai

Double chin removal in Dubai costs between AED 10,000 and AED 20,000 across the emirate. My own fee for double chin removal is between AED 18,000 and AED 20,000.

This page sets out what that fee reflects and what it includes. What it reflects is the operation itself — the fat beneath the chin removed, and where the neck muscle has loosened, tightened at the same time, through a small hidden incision under local anesthesia. What it includes is everything: the surgery, the facility, the anesthesia and the care around them, with nothing to pay afterward. A price quoted before an examination is a price for an operation, not for a patient, and so the exact figure follows a consultation rather than preceding it.

Double chin removal cost in Dubai: the summary

  • Dubai market range: AED 10,000 – AED 20,000 across the emirate.
  • Dr. Baycin’s fee: AED 18,000 – AED 20,000 for double chin removal.
  • What the fee reflects: fat removal, with platysma muscle tightening where the neck has loosened, under local anesthesia.
  • Fully inclusive. Surgeon, anesthesia, facility, medication, garment, follow-up. No bill afterward.
  • Insurance: not covered, and Dr. Baycin works with no insurance company.
  • Your exact figure is given in writing at consultation, after examination.

Why the exact figure comes after a consultation

A single number at the top of a page is tidy, and it can mislead. A double chin is not always the same problem. Most often it is fat, and liposuction alone answers it. Sometimes the neck muscle beneath has loosened and needs tightening as well. Occasionally the real cause is a small chin bone that gives the soft tissue too little support, in which case the answer is not under the chin at all. The best method depends on which of these you have.

A price given before an examination has priced the procedure, not the patient. Which of those the double chin actually is can only be judged by examining it — how thick the fat layer is, whether the muscle has slackened, and how the skin sits. You are given a range here, and an exact figure in writing once you have been examined.

What the fee reflects: the operation itself

Most of what you are paying for is the operation, and the double chin is a small area where the right method matters more than the size of the procedure. Here is what mine involves.

  • The cause decides the method. Fat, loose muscle, and a weak chin bone are different problems that produce the same appearance, and each is corrected differently. I establish which yours is before deciding the operation, rather than applying liposuction to everyone — and it is the cause that decides whether the fee on this page is your figure at all.
  • Liposuction for the fat. Where the problem is fat, which is most cases, I remove it with liposuction — traditional or VASER — through a tiny incision. The area is small, so this is done under local anesthesia, takes around thirty minutes, and you go home about an hour later. That short, local-anesthesia setting is why the fee sits where it does, well below any operation that needs a hospital and a general anesthetic.

How each of these is performed, and what recovery involves, is set out in full on my page about double chin removal in Dubai.

What the figure includes

The number I give you is the number you pay. Nothing arrives afterward.

Included in my fee
Surgeon’s fee Included
Local anesthesia Included
Facility and procedure room Included
Medications Included
Compression garment Included
All follow-up appointments Included

One figure, and nothing after it. There is no separate facility invoice, and no bill arriving in the week after your procedure. When I quote you a number, that is the number, and it does not move.

What moves the figure within the range

The range on this page is narrow, because double chin removal is a defined procedure. Two things decide where within it you sit.

  • Liposuction alone, or with muscle tightening. Removing fat is the shorter operation. Adding platysma tightening, where the muscle has loosened, is a little more involved and sits toward the upper end.
  • The amount of fat. How much fat has to be removed, and whether it is taken by liposuction or as a block, affects the time and the figure.

Neither can be judged from a photograph. Both are apparent within minutes of an examination.

When a double chin needs more than this

The fee on this page is for double chin removal — fat removal, with muscle tightening where needed.

Where there is significant loose skin along the jawline, rather than fat or muscle laxity alone, the operation that addresses it is a neck lift, which tightens and removes that skin. That is a larger, separate procedure, priced separately and above the range on this page. And where the underlying cause is a small or under-projected chin bone, the answer is chin augmentation in Dubai, which supports the soft tissue from beneath — a different procedure with its own fee.

I raise these here rather than at the consultation, because a patient whose real problem is loose skin or a recessive chin should know that the AED 18,000–20,000 fee is not what their case will cost, before they arrange anything.

Insurance in the UAE

I do not work with insurance companies.

Double chin removal is a cosmetic procedure and is not covered by health insurance in the UAE, as elective aesthetic surgery generally is not. If you believe your case is unusual, take it up directly with your insurer before you see me, not afterward.

I would rather say this plainly on a web page than have you spend three weeks discovering it.

Revision, and what my quotation does not promise

The figure I quote is the figure you pay for the operation we agreed. There is no hidden cost within it.

If a second procedure is later performed, that is a second operation, and it is priced as one. I would rather state that now than have you feel misled later. A surgeon who implies that all future surgery is included has made a promise he will eventually resent, and you will be the person he resents.

How to get your figure

You are examined so that the cause is established first — how thick the fat is, whether the muscle has loosened, and whether the chin bone gives enough support. That is what decides the operation, and therefore the figure.

Then you receive a figure, in writing, before you leave my practice in Dubai. It is fully inclusive, and it does not move afterward. For the range across other procedures, see plastic surgery costs in Dubai.

FAQs about double chin removal cost in Dubai

  1. How much does double chin removal cost in Dubai?

Across the emirate, between AED 10,000 and AED 20,000. Dr. Baycin’s own fee is between AED 18,000 and AED 20,000 for double chin removal. That fee reflects the operation itself — the fat beneath the chin removed, and where the neck muscle has loosened, tightened at the same time, through a small hidden incision under local anesthesia. And it includes the surgeon, the anesthesia, the facility, medication, the compression garment and every follow-up, with nothing to pay afterward. So the figure follows from a particular operation. Your exact figure is given in writing after a consultation.

  2. What does Dr. Baycin’s double chin fee reflect?

The operation, and the judgment before it. A double chin can be fat, a loosened neck muscle, or a small chin bone giving too little support, and each is corrected differently, so the cause is established first. Where it is fat, liposuction removes it through a tiny incision under local anesthesia, in about thirty minutes. Where the muscle has loosened, a small incision behind the jawline lets me bring the two edges of the muscle together at the midline and stitch them, which sharpens the jaw-to-neck angle. So what you pay for is the right operation for your cause, done under local anesthesia, rather than liposuction applied to every double chin regardless.

  3. Why is the exact price not published on the website?

Because a double chin is not always the same problem. Most often it is fat, and liposuction alone answers it. Sometimes the neck muscle has loosened and needs tightening as well. Occasionally the real cause is a small chin bone. The best method depends on which of these you have, and that changes the operation and the figure. So a price given before an examination has priced the procedure, not the patient. You are given a range here, and a figure in writing after you have been examined, where the cause can actually be established.

  4. What is included in the double chin removal fee?

Everything. The surgeon’s fee, the anesthesia, the facility and procedure room, all medications, the compression garment, and every follow-up appointment. Nothing arrives afterward. There is no separate facility invoice and no bill in the week following your procedure. So the figure given at consultation is the figure you pay. That is the whole of it.

  5. Does insurance cover double chin removal in Dubai?

No, and Dr. Baycin does not work with insurance companies. Double chin removal is a cosmetic procedure and is not covered by health insurance in the UAE, as elective aesthetic surgery generally is not. So if you believe your case is unusual, take it up directly with your insurer beforehand rather than afterward. Better to know plainly than to spend three weeks discovering it.

  6. Does the fee cover a neck lift as well?

No. The fee on this page is for double chin removal — fat removal, with platysma tightening where the muscle has loosened. Where the problem is significant loose skin along the jawline rather than fat or muscle, the operation that addresses it is a neck lift, which is a larger, separate procedure priced above this range. And where the cause is a small chin bone, chin augmentation is the answer, again a separate procedure. So I raise that here rather than across a desk, because a patient whose real problem is loose skin or a recessive chin should know the double chin fee is not what their case will cost before they arrange anything.

  7. Is revision surgery included in the fee?

No, and I want to be exact about it. The figure I quote is the figure you pay for the operation we agreed, and there is no hidden cost within it. If a second procedure is later performed, that is a second operation and it is priced as one. So I would rather state that now than have you feel misled later. A surgeon who implies that all future surgery is included has made a promise he will eventually resent, and you will be the person he resents.

    About Dr. Nazmi Baycin

Surgery, to me, is precision applied in service of restoration — a conviction that has guided every one of the more than 7,000 procedures I have performed over 25 years in practice. I am a DHA-licensed, board-certified plastic surgeon, trained in Turkey and based in Dubai since 2016. I operate exclusively within JCI-accredited hospitals, and hold international membership in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). Three techniques, in particular, have become signatures of my practice. Scarless breast augmentation, performed through a transaxillary approach that leaves no incision on the breast itself. Labiaplasty designed individually around each patient's own anatomy, never to a standard template. And 3D customised facial bone implants, engineered through CT-based bespoke printing — a technique I currently offer as the only surgeon in Dubai providing it. My practice today spans facial rejuvenation, breast surgery, body contouring, and cosmetic genital procedures, drawing patients from across the UAE, Europe, and the wider GCC. Yet the principle guiding each of these specialties has never changed: to restore form is to restore function. Read Dr. Baycin's full profile
